My tagline beautifully encapsulates a blend of my identity and my joyful spirit. The repetition of the word ‘gay’ plays on both my given name and my sexual orientation, creating a harmonious union of identity. Beyond these connotations, the phrase “I am feeling gay” harkens back to the traditional use of the word ‘gay’ to signify happiness and vivacity. Through this, I not only emphasize my proud acceptance of my sexuality but also exude a cheerful disposition, reminding us of the sheer joy of embracing and expressing one’s true self.
Hello to all on Pridely Gay! My name’s Gay, not Gayle or any other elongation – just Gay, plain and simple, the way my parents intended. When I say I’ve been Gay from the get-go, there’s no hint of jest there.
A coastal town was my cradle, where the beach whispered stories and local schools marked chapters of my life. The world saw me through the label “TomBoy,” a name that my mum and peers often draped around me. While my mother’s kitchen didn’t charm me, my father’s garden became my canvas. A tale from my childhood that still echoes with laughter is of the pram and doll my grandmother gifted me. Imagining her shock when she found the doll discarded in the garden, the bedding disappeared, and the pram? Well, it turned into my makeshift wheelbarrow. The transformation wasn’t limited to toys. Jeans replaced dresses, echoing my desire to mirror my father’s style, and soon, the term “tomboy” wasn’t just a nickname – it was my essence.
As the school years rolled by, I felt like any other kid. Yet, my choices leaned away from stereotypical “girl” activities. The cricket pitch was my stage until BMX racing stole the limelight. This passion drove me across various corners of Australia and even to the vibrant tracks in the USA. Weekends were reserved for the thrill of the race.v
After school, the great outdoors beckoned once more, leading me to adopt gardening as my profession. A significant chapter of my life unfurled in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Even though I wasn’t out then, P-Town (Provincetown) felt like home. My journey then took me across the Atlantic to London, where my gardener’s hands delved into English soil and my wanderlust spirit explored Europe.
When it was time to anchor back in Australia, the transition was tumultuous. While the place was unchanged, I wasn’t. The familiar turf of the local women’s cricket club was where fate bowled a googly – I met my soulmate. Today, she’s not just my partner in crime but my beloved wife.
Isn’t life a quirky dance of fate and serendipity? Carol and I, we were like two ships sailing in the night, so close to bumping into each other, yet sailing parallelly, unaware! We were both budding gardeners, soaking up knowledge at the same college, around the same whimsical time.
Oh, and did I mention we were both Indoor Cricket enthusiasts? Yup! We were swinging bats and hitting runs, albeit in different clubs. And, oh the friends we had in common! It’s like the universe was playing matchmaker, dropping little breadcrumbs for us to follow!
Our paths crossed, clashed, and intertwined in outdoor cricket, first as rivals, then as teammates! It was a rollercoaster of competition and camaraderie, and we loved every bit of it!
We shared so much, it felt like the stars were whispering sweet nothings, nudging us closer before we even realized we were meant to be.
Carol and I decided to share a nest pretty early on! It wasn’t exactly the typical whirlwind U-Haul lesbian love story, but it was our sweet, quirky tale.
And then, after a journey filled with laughter, love, and a sprinkle of cricket, we decided to tie the knot! It’s been a magical ride, and we can’t wait to see where the winds of fate take us next!

Nestled in one enchanting corner is our vegetable patch, a thriving canvas of edible greens. Meanwhile, another corner is a tribute to Gay’s favorite – the enchanting Passionfruit trees! Last summer, we were enveloped in a wave of passion fruit abundance, sharing the fruity wealth with everyone around us!
Gay’s creative spirit has sculpted the landscape, infusing each area with her unique touch. And the journey is beautifully unfolding, with every plant sowed and every light installed, adding a sprinkle of magic to our green haven.

Absolutely embracing our lesbian essence, we’re proud parents to our adorable fur babies! We have two dogs, both trotting around the same age bracket. We’ve also been cat parents, but our feline friends have since crossed the rainbow bridge.
Our hearts are brimming with love for our canine companions! Inky, our rescue darling, joined our family, adding her unique charm, while Toby, our bundle of joy, has been with us since his puppy days.
Luck was on our side, as Inky and Toby grew up together, becoming the best of friends! They’re our adventurous duo, always excited for a day at the park or a camping escapade, exploring the great outdoors and soaking up the sun!
Camping is our jam! We absolutely adore immersing ourselves in the great outdoors. We’ve explored a myriad of spots, with a penchant for free bush camping amidst Australia’s raw beauty.
